Mark Cuban: A Victim of Twitter Abuse?
Posted on May 11th, 2009 by Mike under NBA, twitterI think that no-call on Saturday has thrown Mark Cuban over the edge. Just look at this retweet (WARNING: what you’re about to see may shock you)…
Cuban promptly deleted it, and then claimed it was just one example of the twitter savaging he suffers each day.

I did a quick search for “@mcuban” and his supporters want blood!! (At least they’d like to know who sent him that message). It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out and if Twitter responds.
H/T to @melfi from NYHoosier.com for grabbing the screenshot before it got deleted.

So he is saying he got hacked, or that this was an error on his part.

After reading it for the 15th time I get it. I read your intro and did not realize he was Retweeting what someone had tweeted at him. You don’t see that often.
What a moron.

It should be noted that Mark Cuban was good enough to remove the original tweeter’s name when he did the RT, saving that person from a severe, prolonged twitter war. Celeb followers can be some of the most vicious people on earth, and not all celebs have consideration like that. You wouldn’t believe some of the inflammatory stuff Scott Baio liked to do via his twitter account, tweeting attacks on ordinary everyday users, asking his followers to “Plz RT”, and then deleting the tweets so he’d look innocent. Dozens of screencaps of those original tweets exist, though. (Baio’s calmed down in recent weeks…maybe a publicist finally got their hands on him).
